Manufacturing pallets from Australian plantation pine.

The process is renewable, energy efficient, and locks up carbon absorbed from the atmosphere as the tree grows. We only use logs that are responsibly sourced from Australian certified plantations that carry full Chain-of-Custody. So, for every pine tree that is harvested another is planted in its place, and as each tree grows it absorbs carbon from our atmosphere and locks it up, long-term.

Zero waste

We utilise every centimeter of every log we process ensuring that nothing goes to waste. Plantation pine trees take ~20 years to mature for harvest. Each log is processed into high quality products for construction, agriculture, landscaping, garden care and logistics.

Carbon locked up

Half the stored weight of dried timber is carbon that the tree absorbs from the atmosphere as it grows. A single 1200x800mm pallet made from wood can store 5kg of carbon even after accounting for the emissions created during manufacture and transport, while the production of a plastic pallet will release 34 kg of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere*. Timber pallets lock up carbon, are low energy and sustainable.

Grown & grown again

Our timber comes from Australian plantations which are sustainably managed. Once trees are harvested for production, they are replanted and regrown for future production. It is a sustainable practice that locks up carbon over and over again contributing to a reduction in greenhouse gases. Australia has 8.9 million hectares of plantation forest, and more than 70 million seedlings are planted each year.

Full of Potential

Endlessly renewable

Australian plantation pine is replanted after harvest, a sustainable process that locks up carbon from our atmosphere. Our logs are all Australian grown and sustainably sourced with full chain-of-custody.

Endless possibilities

Each log is loaded with possibilities. The fibre is used by Hyne Group to create products for use in construction, landscape and garden care, and pallets and packaging.

Bark and beyond

The bark from plantation pine makes for high quality garden care products. Once bark is removed it is used as mulch and potting mix for professional growers and landscapers, and hobbyists alike.

A sustainable material

Logs are sectioned into both structural boards for construction, as well as boards for landscaping products, pallets, crates and bins. Nothing is wasted.
Reuse,
Refurbish,
Regrow

While timber pallets are durable, they can also be refurbished, recycled and reused. This circular approach ensures that the timber used in each pallet remains in circulation for as long as possible. This is practical and makes good environmental sense.
